A creditworthy cosigner may help a student qualify for a student loan by agreeing to share equal responsibility for repayment. Anybody of legal age (18 years old, generally in most states), that is a U.S. Resident or U.S. Nationwide, or perhaps is a permanent resident alien with appropriate proof of eligibility and who fulfills basic loan eligibility and credit needs can cosign.
